With "Lore Genesis: Reloaded", Duc Siegenthaler expands the universe of his debut collection, first introduced in September 2023, while further exploring the art of garment deconstruction. This collection offers a thoughtful response to the modern challenges of circularity and upcycling, while embracing the fluid relationship we have with the way we wear and experience clothing.
At the heart of this collection is modularity. The 25 looks reflect this concept, adapting seamlessly to the wearer’s identity. Straight-cut coats, pencil skirts, and shirts can be worn loose for an oversized effect or cinched for a more tailored fit, allowing for versatile styling. Second-hand t-shirts, deconstructed with snap systems, drape elegantly over the body, blurring and redefining traditional shapes. Each piece in the Siegenthaler wardrobe is crafted in limited editions using deadstock fabrics from major fashion houses. Nothing goes to waste; everything is reimagined—whether it’s second-hand t-shirts gaining new life under the designer’s hand, or black faux leather originally used in a previous collection’s set design. These repurposed materials are transformed into unique creations where design and sustainability come together. "Lore Genesis: Reloaded" stands as a manifesto for design that elevates existing resources, with each piece telling a story of reinvention and embodying a commitment to conscious, sustainable fashion.
Selected to represent the young generation of French Design by the Federation of Chinese Textile and Apparel and Aube Events, Siegenthaler, along with five other French labels showcased the collection at the KEQIAO Fashion Week in Shaoxing, China on October 25, 2024.
