Impermanence as freedom — For its Fall-Winter 2026 collection, SiEGenThaLER reinterprets Memento Mori not as frozen melancholy, but as an urgent invitation to fully inhabit the present moment. Why postpone until tomorrow what can be lived now?
Duc Siegenthaler proposes a wardrobe that embraces the transformation of bodies and identity. In hushed interiors with sage green walls, where time suspends between two breaths, each garment becomes a territory of silent metamorphoses: an oversized striped shirt that reconfigures into a short dress, a fluid skirt that adjusts from midi to knee length through a simple play of drawstrings, a coat whose silhouette transforms through a buttoning system.
An introspective turn
After the heroic epic of Lore Genesis (SS24) and the performative exploration of Metamorphosis Perpetua (SS26), MEMENTO MORI marks a turn toward introspection. Modularity, the brand's DNA since its founding, finds here its most intimate expression.
Far from spectacular staging, the collection unfolds in a domestic and contemplative aesthetic. This theatricality of everyday life celebrates intimacy as a space of transformation. It's an in-between space — neither truly public nor totally private — where one can unravel and rebuild at will. The garment becomes a second skin that can be changed according to moods, a flexible architecture for bodies in perpetual becoming.
The chromatic palette — sage green, taupe beige, pearl gray, off-white, deep black — dialogues with noble materials: Prince of Wales check, pinstripes, satins, bicolor wool twill, corduroy, ribbed knits. These pieces embody a shared elegance, a wardrobe that circulates between bodies and genders. Modularity offers an elegant response to overconsumption: one garment, multiple identities. Beauty that never comes at the expense of ethics.
